The seven fountains of Caposele

A suggestive ring trek, in unspoiled nature, which begins in the Saure area (area of ​​the Caposele cellars) where you meet the first fountain, known as “Fontana r’lu Pignuolu”.

Continue to the fountain of “San Biagio” located at 620 meters above sea level and the fountain of Serracino, located at a height of 675 meters.

The route continues crossing the Castagneta plateau where we meet the Cerasuolo Fountain (908 m), slowly following the dirt road, we reach the fountain in the locality of “Mauta”, at 1150 meters, we pass the forest shelter up to the Lagarelli viewpoint , the highest of the excursion, at 1260 meters.

Continue on the flat and then descend towards an area called “Arialunga Vallentica”, reaching a small path that leads to the “Sorgente della Vallentica” (1125 meters). Take the dirt road that goes down to 975 meters, where the “Fontana di Canale” is located.

Continue on a steeply descending road passing through the expanse of Avigliano, up to the viewpoint of Caposele-Materdomini, at an altitude of 640 meters. During the walk we will hear the history and legends of the place, linked to the seven fountains.
